John Marzano Former MLB Player, Current Philadelphia Phillies Analyst for Comcast SportsNet South, Philadelphia native, Central High School Graduate, and three time All American from Temple University, John Marzano has become a fixture in baseball, especially in Philadelphia.

An Olympic Gold medalist, after having played catcher on the first ever United States Olympic Team in 1984, his teammates included Mark McGuire, Barry Larkin, and B.J. Surhoff. John was a first round draft pick (14th overall) of the Boston Red Sox in 1984 where he played until 1993. Signing as a free agent with the Texas Rangers in 1995, and onto the Seattle Mariners for the 1996, 1997, and 1998 seasons, he has caught the likes of Roger Clemens and Randy Johnson, and played on teams with Alex Rodriguez, Ken Griffey Jr., Wade Boggs, Jim Rice, Don Baylor, and Bill Buckner.

John was inducted into Temple University's Hall of Fame in 1997 and is now an analyst for Comcast Sportsnet's Phillies Post Game Show, and a permanent part of the baseball landscape in his native city.
